Recommended for extra ventilation at the top of the hive to avoid bearding. Vented supers should be placed over the inner cover. Each side has screened vent holes for additional circulation. Vented supers are also suggested for use with our hive top feeder simply place vented super above the feeder to help pull out moisture from feeder. Depth is 1-7/8” deep. Made in the USA.

    I add 1/8 inch hardware cloth to the bottom by stapling in place. Then I fill it with wood chips to act as material to capture moisture during the wwinter. Works wonders.
