The Improved Mann Lake Top Feeder Insert features a galvanized steel safety screen designed to reduce bee drowning.
This feeder is constructed of a heavy-duty, single piece plastic to provide a no-leak reservoir! Fill the feeder without opening the hive!

Pro Tip: If this feeder runs completely empty or the syrup level gets very low, bees may crowd under the screen and struggle to find their way back, which can lead to drowning. To help prevent this, you can apply a bead of food-grade caulking along the bottom of the screen.
