Mite Away Quick Strips offer an effective solution for controlling Varroa mites in honey bee hives. These strips are crafted from natural biodegradable materials and use formic acid polysaccharide gel to achieve a high efficacy rate of over 90% in reducing mite levels.

Mite Away Quick Strips are suitable for organic honey production, making them a versatile choice for beekeepers. They effectively target and reduce Varroa mite infestations, creating a healthier honey bee hive.

How to Use Mite Away Quick Strips

Treatment with Mite Away Quick Strips works best when used in the brood chamber, focusing on the bottom brood box and the brood box. Mite Away Quick Strips are also easy to use when following these instructions:

  1. For optimal results, daytime temperatures should be between 50°F and 84°F (10°C and 29°C).
  2. Always wear the recommended safety equipment, as Mite Away Quick Strips are still composed of formic acid.
  3. Place the gel strips directly across the top of the brood frames. This can be accomplished without needing a spacer rim.
  4. To maintain their effectiveness, store the other Mite Away Quick Strips away from direct sunlight and below 77°F (25°C).

When using during honey flow, here are additional reminders:

  1. Keep the bottom entrances of the hive open to match the width of the hive for proper ventilation.
  2. Close the screened bottom boards.

The Varroa mite treatment period for Mite Away Quick Strips is just seven days. Each pack is designed for two treatments, ensuring a long shelf life while keeping your colonies safe from Varroa mite threats.

    Great product

This is a great product when used as directed (moderate temps). Nothing else gets into capped brood, so a week is all that's needed. Packages that remain sealed last much longer than shelf life,
