Our cardboard nuc boxes are a cost-effective and lightweight solution for beekeepers. These nuc boxes are wax-permeated for enhanced durability, making them excellent for use as great swarm traps.
With perforated vent knockouts on both sides, this cardboard nuc box ensures proper ventilation. Plus, it can hold five 9" 1/8" deep (23.18 cm) frames of drawn comb, providing ample space for your bees. The cardboard nuc box ships flat, saving you shipping charges and offering ease in assembly.
This cardboard nuc box makes swarm catching straightforward and convenient. Here’s how to use it: Simply place five frames of comb (9 1/8" or 23.18 cm) inside the box, and secure the lid with either our Poly or Rubber Nuc Strap (sold separately). When you're ready to move the swarm, use the 1½" (3.81 cm) optional cap plug (FD147, sold separately) to seal the entrance of the cardboard nuc box.
Additionally, there's no need for box returns or frame exchanges when using these cost-effective cardboard nuc boxes, especially when compared to wooden nucs. Use our Riteway Stapler (HD280) to secure end flaps. Ships flat, simple to assemble. Makes catching a swarm easier!
