While the finger joints did go together, I had to beat it so hard I felt a little guilty. Of the 2 I bought, 1 was beaten into submission and the next got the message because it slid right into place.
Disappointing quality. This product was not precision cut as advertised. It was necessary that I had to trim some of the joints with an oscillating tool to get it to fit. Additionally, the bottom board, when stacked with the NUC Box yields an entrance opening that is 3/8" as opposed to the standard 3/4" opening. I will end up making my own screened bottom board. While Mann Lake has got a lot of my money over the last several years, I don't think I'll be buying any more unassembled boxes from ML.
The reason I started shopping with Mannlake is the quality of their woodwork. This NUC is no exception. Joints were tight and solid and wood stock top notch.
