    Extractor

    I have used this extractor for over 7 years now and it is a reliable workhorse for me. I extract about 200- 300 dadent frames a year - so not a lot, but the gearing is great -it goes really fast, and it is easy to use. I made a wooden base for it that is wider than the extractor, so make is a bit more stable (and a large 11 L. ice cream bucket from the local ice cream store fits in perfectly under the spout). For sure you have to balance the frames - extract all heavy and all medium filled at the same time, or it will wobble, but once the honey is out even a little it balances. Not sure how it would work with deeps, they are heavier, but for dadents, as a recreational bee keeper this is a great tool, that works as well today as it did when I bought it a long time ago. I expect it to last until I retire from bee ranching, hopefully in the distant future.
