The Clauss Hive Dome is a great addtition to any bee hive. Easily observe what your bees are doing without suiting up. This dome can also be used year round by placing a medium super around it and then your inner and outer covers.

    This is a must for any backyard beekeeper. I’ve been using for several years and can tell at a glance if I need to put on more fondant paddy in winter, or another super in spring/summer. You can see what’s going on without unnecessarily opening hives. Water condensation runs down the sides not on the bees (I don’t use upper entrances/ventilation, just board of pink insulation on the top of the hives,). I’ve had great survival rates in Maryland where temps can go in teens for extended times. Great product I don’t know why everyone doesn’t switch.

    Hive dome

    I have this on all my hives. I set it on my hive box when I took my super out to harvest and forgot to put the super back in right away. They started building honey comb up to the top of the dome.
