Traveling with an Observation Hive
If you're traveling with a brood frame observation hive, make sure to pull one frame up into the viewing area before you leave. When you arrive at your destination, simply remove the shutters and let your audience watch the hive!

Optimal Honey Bees Management
For optimal health of your observation hive, avoid placing it in direct sunlight. This can overheat the hive and stress the bees, increasing the risk of a swarm. Regular feeding with sugar syrup is essential, especially when natural forage is insufficient.
The observation hive is 9⅝" deep so they would only need to use deep frames, providing adequate space for the queen to lay eggs and sustain the hive’s growth, just as any experienced beekeeper would recommend.
