Telescoping Covers are the roof of your hive. Like your own house, you want one that will withstand the harshest conditions. The top is covered with heavy-duty aluminum which telescopes down over the top of the hive to keep out the elements. Compatible with 8 Frame equipment only. Made in the USA.

The cover was not as tall as the ones I have ordered in the past. Not sure where I ordered from but the covers I have are 1/2 to 3/4 inch taller. If it was a roof, (and it is!) the boards that comprise the facia are 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 vs 2 inches on yours. Prob not an issue for the bees but I like to paint names on all my colonies in that spot and after the metal I only have abt an inch & a half.
The telescoping lid look great, but a few of the corners where not tight to the frame and would catch on clothing or poke the skin.
